I am inspired and eternally grateful for each and every one of your posts that plant seeds of endless possibilities for my life: your precious reminders to keep receiving, creating and giving. I am considering to translate a selection of my poems into Norwegian for them to be published in a book at a publishing house here where I live; connect with the people who I live with. I am also aware of the fact that my readership is mainly english speaking and Norwegians do speak and read english.
Perhaps to focus on self publishing an english poetry book is the way to go. What am I waiting for?

Nomzi, I miss you. π Only to come back to this wonderful post. By all means go ahead and do both languages. π Norwegian for traditional publishing and Englsih for self publishing. π
I just self published my haiku collection and though sometimes I feel daunted by all the outstanding works out there, I take consolation in the fact that Ghana is yet to savour haiku and I am the one bringing it to their doorstep.
Go girl, you can do it. π

That sounds marvelous Robin. I visited your blog and was pleasantly surprised to see that you went to see the Carole King Broadway production “Beautiful”. That must have been truly amazing. I have only recently come to discover what a remarkable woman she is. Thank you very much for your motivating visit. Keep us posted will you? π

That is wonderful Jane. π I heard about self publishing many years ago but at that time I did not consider myself a writer of any sort; so the world of publishing did not feature in my world of painting. Now I am opening the box full of literary treasure I had been sitting on. I am filled with gratitude and I wish you a fine evening. π

I self-published several books and plan to keep on. I’m not kidding myself that I’m coming up with best-sellers – I just really wanted to see my words in a book. I also liked the independence of the project and doing it all myself, on my schedule. I think a book of your poems would be great.

How marvelous Claudia. You certainly have my attention. I am surrounded by so many strong willed, independent and experienced writers.
More than anything in the world, I want to be able to continue to do what I love and know how to do best and be able to grow and live off of that. So thank you for your support and encouragement. I truly appreciate that. Have a lovely afternoon. π
