It has been a whirlwind of a year in music and I will always cherish and remember you because this is where it all started. The benefits of blogging far superseded anything that I could ever have imagined!
My first single, “The Truth”, is out on all platforms!!! CLICK on the red link below to hear it! The song is about how I did not want to take responsibility for my own decisions so I filled up my life with people and things that literally muffled my senses. “The Truth”, lyrically speaking, is me having a date with myself, waiting for someone to show up to save me from my miserable life. But nobody is coming to save me. Because it is me that has to show up.
This life is not a dress rehearsal. No, no. So I urge you to have mercy on yourself and forgive yourself. Start there. There is nothing inside of you that is too dark and too ugly for you to face. And should you need a helping hand to do so, reach out to someone. Talking with a professional might also be the key to unlock the blockage. Take a leap of faith! You see, we were never meant to be here to do this alone.
I am forever grateful for you. Your presence and support means the world to me. Happy holidays!!! 🌺🌺🌺 May 2020 be your year of good health, love and good fortune!!!
“The state of your life is nothing more than a reflection of your state of mind.”
Dr. Wayne W. Dyer
Let me check myself, my life, as I look around my home:
How important is my overall health to me?
What and who am I engaging with?
What am I worth?
What do I need?
Peace and love at home, healthy relationships, a thriving business…?
This quote implies that I have the power of choice:
What am I telling myself each day?
As I grow and change, what are the things that I believe?
Are these beliefs serving me the life of my dreams?
Do I have new dreams?
I can write, sing, paint and such, I love so may different subjects, you see. But something changed, drastically. It began the day that I stopped pretending; when one by one I removed the toxins, the excuses and the lies that I told myself. All that noise.
I had buried my dreams so deep inside of me that life eventually shook me so hard, to such an extent that I had to surrender my inner world to you. I committed to writing a poem each Monday and sharing it with you. This practice became my way of opening my heart and remembering the way to my dreams. You will find selected poems that I have written between 2014 – 2017, some of which are a work in progress, towards my poetry book. This is where my musical journey began. Discover what poetry is for you. For me, each poem is a plea for love in this world.
I believe that silence is golden. I believe that most answers lie in nature, meditation and yoga; within ourselves, participating in good causes, big and small. I believe in love.
